save save save! bargain alert

Thought I would share with you all that the Stampin' Up! retirement list is out this morning!

Those of you new to Stampin' Up - they are really great quality, deeply etched self asemble stramps. They pride themselves on co-ordinating everything.

There are some real bargains to be had as they have, unusually, dropped the prices of some of the items.

Some real highlights for me on the list are:

Stamps

Page 26 - Flaky Friends - dropped to £22.95 plus P&P (was 25.95 plus P&P) for 8 Christmas stamps - these are fab for cards for all and there are some really cool colouring techniques that can be done with them

Page 30 - The Snowflake Spot - dropped to £18.95 plus P&P (was 20.95 plus P&P) for 7 snowflake stamps - great for Christmas and some winter birthdays. just thinking of these embossed in white on acetate - wow wow wow

page 36 - Year After Year - dropped to £26.95 plus P&P (was 29.95 plus P&P) for 8 all occasions stamps - personally I think this is a real shame. I love this kit as you can cover so many occasions with it. Kids birthdays, baby welcome, Christmas, adult birthdays, valentines, graduation, Christmas, wedding, anniversary and Halloween! This is a real bargain at about 3.50 for each fab quality wood mounted stamp! This was the set used for the workshop last month with the elephant in it!

page 38 - Be Happy - down to £18.95 plus P&P ( was 20.95 plus P&P) for 6 stamps - great for cards and scrapping - especially kids pages.

page 46 - All Naturals - £15.95 plus P&P for 6 stamps - very nice classic nature set. and Nature's Wonders only £12.95 plus P&P for 4 fab stamps that are crying out for a watercolour technique. ( these were £17.95 and £14.95 plus P&P)

Page 54 - Shapes & Shadows - absolute bargain at £26.95 plus P&P ( was £29.95 plus P&P) for 12 stamps - SOOOO sad this one is on the list as am sure it is a winner! This one gives you loads of flexibility, covers all the seasons - spring - flower summer - butterfly autumn - leaf and winter both tree and snow flake. it also provides some lovely little background stamps as well. have just ordered this one for myself as such a great deal. it is a two step stamping technique which yields fab results! Think this one will go very fast!

Page 66 - Headlines - Down to £36.95 plus P&P (was 41.95 plus P&P))for 28 alpha plus ? and !. I have this set and it is just great for scrapbook and cards! really great quality ( as are all SU stamps) and the flat surface makes kiss stamping a dream! ask me for more info on this technique if you are new to it!

Papers and scrap kits

All patterned paper sets of 12 papers on pages 72 and 73 are down to £7.75 plus P&P - were £8.50 plus P&P

The scrapbook kits on page 77 are down to £15.50 plus P&P were £16.95 plus P&P

Simply Sent kits - page 75

I cannot believe the bargains that can be had here! these are down to £39.95 plus P&P - that's a saving of £10 as they were £49.95!!! All you need to make up to 20 cards for that price and you have the kit left over to replicate the projects with some extra card and ribbon. THE HAPPY DAYS KIT is really good as flexible on birthdays and Christmas.

These would make a really great Christmas present for a crafter as all boxed up and looks very good as well as being a great complete kit for some fab techniques.

Other accessories

Sad to see the chipboard on 79 is on there as well - £11.75 plus P&P for floral and £10.25 plus P&P for alphabet - these were 12.95 and £10.95 plus P&P

Hodgepodge set reduced by £3.20 to £21.75 plus P&P

There are more goodies so check this list out and grab a bargain while you can!

If you need to see the catalogue on line go to

If you would like anything off the retired list you should get your order in fast as they cannot guarantee delivery on these items and when its gone its gone.

P&P is 5% or a minimum of £3.95.

Special offer just from ME!

If you place your order before the 10th September 2008 - both off retired list or the main catalogue - if you order over £35 of product I will do your order P&P free, a further saving of at least £3.95 on your order.

If you are coming to the workshop in September I will bring along to that. Otherwise it will be posted to you second class by the 17th September (assuming in stock at the warehouse).

Just email me with your request. My email address is stampingwithhelen@yahoo.co.uk

That's all for now!

Workshop dates

Hi all

The first workshop went well. Few lessons learnt but on the whole I was happy! Most important everyone seemed to enjoy everything we made and had a nice evening!

So I have some workshops coming up:

Make 10 Christmas cards - Wed 17 September - workshop fee £15

6.45pm to 9.15pm at Thornton Community Centre

This workshop will use the lovely Dashing patterned papers from Stampin' Up! as well as some of the lovely stamps!

You will get all the materials other than adhesive and a bone folder. A trimmer might be useful as well. I will have pre-cut the cards and patterned papers to save you time on the night to get on with the assembly. You will get full instructions so you could replicate at home.

I will be doing 8 simple ones and a couple of more advanced ones. Watch the blog for some sneak peaks!

I will be demoing a couple of stamping techniques and then will leave you to it to pull the cards together as you want to. I will do a fuller demo on the more advanced ones!

You will of course get a glass of wine/refreshments.

Make a Scrapbook in an evening - Thursday 2 Oct - workshop fee £35

7pm to 9.45pm at Thornton Community Centre

At the end of the workshop you will go away with a beautiful 6 by 6 album with 20 completed pages ready for your pictures!

This will be a workshop using the versatile Petals & Paisley patterned papers, Pretties kit and the Pick a petal stamps. The papers are really flexible as they have pinks, greens, yellows and blues in them.

This workshop is material intensive and the kits are lovely and includes the scrapbook. Again I will have prepared the card and papers for you. You will have page sketches to follow but the flexibility of the papers will give you chance to spin on these quite a bit. All you need is adhesive and a trimmer to complete the project.

This will be a faster workshop but if you do not get finished you will have instructions to finish at home.

You will of course get a glass of wine/refreshments.

These make a really lovely handmade Christmas present for a family member. Or even better bring a crafter along as their early Christmas present!

Places are limited to 10 as this will be an intensive workshop and I want to be around to help you if you need it. Please book early for a place. If this workshop fills up I will try and run a second one in November so if the date does not suit let me know and I will see what I can do!

If you want spare packs of materials I can order these.

There are some exciting specials coming up for October as well!

Hope you can make it to one or both of these. If you cannot but would like to have kit and instructions please let me know and I will see what I can get sorted. I could post these to you if you are not local.

Peeks at these will follow once I figure out how to do watermarking of pictures!

Starting out - launching my clubs

Hi all

So just managed to add the fab ideas book to this blog. Good start eh!

So want to tell you about some fabulous offers I have going at the moment!

Clubs first.

If you are a stamper you probably like free stuff right! Well I know I do. I am setting up a couple of clubs. For very little commitment you can get over £37 of free stuff. The frequency of this depends on what you go for!

Club 10

This needs 10 members to run. Each person commits to spending at least £15 a month for the next 10 months. Each member is assigned a month over the next 10 months. You can order more, this works well in the month which you are assigned to maximise your freebies!

So what will YOU get for that commitment

  • Free new Catalogue/ ideas book when the new one comes out in October worth £5.95
  • Monthly newsletter via email including a project idea with shopping list and instructions
  • At least one special offer product a month
  • Free goods worth at least £15 in your assigned month (once every 10 months if you stay in the club!)
  • Free hostess gift that is available in your assigned month - estimated value if you could buy at least £17 but you cannot buy them (once every 10 months if you stay in the club)

So for the commitment you are getting at least £37.95 of stuff free! More if you have a bumper month and purchase more in your assigned month!

If you are in West Yorkshire I could do free p&p as well if you are not too far from me!

If you are a beginner I could advise you on where to start . If you have been around the block craft wise I am sure you will have a wish list as long as your arm, like me, as soon as you look through the catalogue!

Club 5

Works much the same other than the commitment is £30 over the next 5 months with 5 members. This would give you a real kick start if you are starting out! This also means your freebies are here that bit sooner as you will be guaranteed to have them in next 5 months!

If you are interested please email me at:
stampingwithhelen@yahoo.co.uk
I can then send you the full terms and conditions.

Too impatient to wait for your freebies and have a wish list as long as your arm eh?
Well if you place an order over £150 I can treat it as though you were a hostess of a workshop! I would throw in free p&p here as well! so you save/get even more for your hard earned £'s!
Just email me with your order and I will let you know what happens next.

Want to hold a workshop for all the extra benefits that will include like a project, demo and hostess freebies?
I can cover most of West Yorkshire and the North Yorkshire area around Skipton. I can also cover the Lakes if on the weekends!

Not enough freebies eh?
Well if you buy 3 packs of the great quality double sided patterned paper on pages 72 and 73 you get another free.

phew! I don't know about you but I am exhausted!

I have my first workshop on Thursday. I have14 ladies and one craft bloke I hope - some new - some old hats. I have some great projects lined up. I am saving my sneak peaks until after Thursday.

Right thats enough for now. Hope to hear from you soon if you are interested!

Getting started.....

Hello all

Glad you have found me. This is a new blog which will focus on the crafty stuff I hope to be getting up to as a Stampin' Up demonstrator/workshop host. I hope to include details of open workshops, show a few of the projects I have managed to create with Stampin' Up products and highlight any fantastic products and deals I have going on as I get going on this exciting journey to spread the word about something that is my passion/obsession!

So what have I got coming up?

Adults Craft workshop - I have a craft workshop coming up near Bradford on Thursday 21 August 6.30 to 9.15 pm. We will be making 3 projects on the night, there will be a craft raffle and drinks & nibbles. I will be posting up the projects this week so you can have a peek. If you are interested in coming you will be met with a warm smile, a glass of wine ( or fresh orange if you prefer!) and a good laugh! The projects will be a mix of beginner and advanced. Leave me a comment with your email address and I will send you details! You will need some basic tools but details will be provided.

Kids Craft workshop - I have a kids workshop happening at the same venue on Tuesday 2 September - 1.3o to 3.30 pm. The charge for this one is £10. I am taking a maximum of 10 kids on this one. The kids will be making a minibook of their summer so they will need to bring pics from the summer to use. All tools and materials are provided. Under 6's will need an adult to help them. Again leave a contact email address and I will confirm the details and provide information.

Starter discount - If you are interested in purchasing any products from me from the current catalogue I am offering £5 off an order over £100. Orders will need to be with me with payment by 22 August to qualify. There are some fabulous kits of stamps and this month there is a 3 for 2 on the patterned paper which is a bargain for double sided patterned paper at £8.50 for 12 sheets. See page 72 and 73 of the catalogue for details.

So what have I ideas for to do in the coming months;
  • Scrapbook in an evening - make a 10 page scrapbook with Stampin' up products
  • 10 quick but effective handmade Christmas cards for the ones you love
  • Teacher/grandparents presents made simple - a few teacher/grandparents present ideas for Christmas time
  • Crafting for parties - invites, party favours, party prizes etc
  • Craft at kids parties
  • I am available to be booked for Stampin' Up home demonstrator parties.
  • and so on....

Watch this space or leave a comment with your email address to sign up to my monthly newsletter.

Hope you will call here often to see various offers and information.

Catch you soon!
